Before/Aftercare for your appointment

Preparation

• shower and exfoliate your body the day before. 
• Try not to exfoliate the day of your tan.
• Do not apply deodorant, perfume, oil based products .
• Wax/shave 24 hours before appointment.
• Wear loose, dark clothing (no leggings) and open toe shoes.
• Avoid wearing silk, wool, leather as tan may stain.

During

• Wear suitable underwear or swimwear  (think of your outfits).
• Remember tan will stain so black underwear is best.
• Barrier cream will be applied to hands/feet/dry areas.
• Please don't touch your skin while developing (stained fingers).

After

• Shower off after 8 hours, if tan is applied in the evening shower in the morning.
• Pat dry with a towel - don't rub or scrub.
• AVOID WATER WHILE DEVELOPING.
• Lightly buff any strap marks or water marks with a dry towel.
• Avoid exercise while developing.
• Use a non oil based moisturiser to keep skin nourished.

Tan can last up to 7 days dependent on aftercare, various shades available, vegan and no harsh chemicals, retail products also available. Appointment will be 20 minutes. Tan will fade quicker if in swimming pools/hot tubs (due to the chlorine) however can be topped up with retail products.  Trials recommended for first timers/brides. 

SPRAY TANS/RETAILS DO NOT CONTAIN ANY SPF - PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN WHEN REQUIRED.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING A SPRAY TAN APPOINTMENT

• Please note if you have any large open wounds you may not be able to have a spray tan until completely healed (E.g. recent surgery, large tattoos) any smaller wounds should be covered accordingly as you don't want tan getting into any wounds.
• If you are diabetic please ensure that you have no open wounds for your appointment - these solutions contain sugar so you do not want it getting into the bloodstream.  Appointment will otherwise be fine.
• Please note that a fine mist will disperse from the spray tan machine, if you have severe asthma or breathing issues please take this into account.
• If you are breastfeeding on HRT or on any other hormonal medications this may interfere with your tans results.
• Patch tests aren't performed on Nouvatan spray tans, however if you have extremely sensitive skin  or you haven't had a great experience in the past I would be happy to perform one 48 hours beforehand.
• Tans can't be performed on people with any contagious skin diseases or people in 1st trimester of pregnancy 
• Tans may aggravate severe acne, eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis.  Please message if you want to discuss any further.
