HD BROWS VERSUS BROWSCULPT - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

HD Brows differ to many other eyebrow treatments as HD brows don’t believe in a one-shape-fits-all ethos. Brows are as individual as fingerprints and so each step of the HD Brows treatment is completely bespoke from the personal consultation, shape design, tailoring and aftercare process.  

• You will get a consultation on what you are looking to achieve from your appointment whether that be to grow back your brows into a better shape, or tidy up your brows and have them more tailored.
• Unlike a regular eyebrow tint, I'll apply the tint around the brow to pick up those fair and fluffy hairs you didn’t even realise where there. This is using HD Brows custom-blend  Brow Dyes to create the perfect tone to complement your skin tone, hair tone and overall style.
• I will begin to create your dream eyebrow shape through waxing, using HD's exclusive design formula. They’ll keep in mind any areas where you may want to re-grow hair, working towards your long-term brow goals. 
• Threading will be done if necessary.
• Then this is where I will work to make those fresh brows even fresher. If necessary, I will tweeze any stray hairs, trim unruly hairs down and create a finish that suits your style using the finest brow make up range which is also available to purchase in store or on my website.

The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.

The HD Brows treatment usually takes around 45 minutes, but I would suggest allowing an hour for the treatment.

WHAT IS HD BROWSCULPT (OR BROW LAMINATION)

If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape.  It can also help to achieve instantly fuller looking eyebrows using your existing hair. Whether you want to correct your shape, lift the hairs, or both of these options. 

 HOW LONG DOES  BROWSCULPT LAST?  

Brow lamination lasts 4 to 6 weeks generally, with proper care allowing the brow treatment to last as long as 8 weeks. 

The treatment on the day will take up to an hour.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET THIS TREATMENT?

You must be over 18 to get this treatment.

What to expect from your appointment?:

•  All of my treatments begin with a thorough consultation, so I can establish your brow goals and work to achieve them. 
•  Then I will start the process by relaxing the hair using a gentle chemical: breaking down the hair structure to make it straighter and easier to manipulate. 
• Next, I'll brush them into your desired position before applying a treatment lotion that sets the brows in place. 
• I will then tint your brows, using HD Brow Dyes to mix a custom colour that that’s totally bespoke to you. 
•  Now that your hairs are in their new position, you’ll need a new shape to match. This will be created with a combination of waxing, threading, tweezing and feathering. 
•  Those finishing touches make your fresh brows feel even fresher, even if it’s just adding a hair stroke or two using HD brows finest make up.

PATCH TESTING

• Patch tests MUST be carried out  at least 48 hours before your appointment and can be done through the book now button.   This is for your safety and I will not carry out the treatment if this hasn't been done. Patch tests are required for the following:
  • New clients
  • Clients who have not been to myself in over 6 months
  • Have never visited our salon before. 
  • If you have had any medical changes since your last appointment (COVID, medication etc, please message if you are unsure). 
• Patch tests will be carried out on any tinting services (HD Brows, Browsculpt, LVL)

AFTERCARE ADVICE FOR HD BROWS/BROWSCULPT:

• Please avoid plucking in between appointments.  The more growth the better!
• Avoid make up or cleansers around the brow area for 24 hours.
• Avoid prolonged contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam-rooms and swimming pools for 24 hours after appointment.
• Avoid exfoliating, anti-ageing products 3 days either side of the treatment.
• Please don't use fake tan for at  least 48 hours either side of the appointment.
• Remember your results will be darker and more defined immediately after your treatment.  The make up applied is not permanent and tint will fade depending on your frequency of cleaning.
• Please let me know if you experience any swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, skin grazing or cuts after 24 hours of your treatment, this is so we can best advise you how to treat accordingly.  

ANY OTHER AFTERCARE?

• I would recommended the fabulous Lash and Brow condition serum (available on the online shop or to buy in store) this will keep your lashes and brows nourished and ready for there next appointment.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING A BROW APPOINTMENT

•  If you have had no regrowth for years these treatments may not be for you , however I can provide make up lessons or be happy to have a consultation to see what the best steps for you are. 
• Brow treatments can't be performed if dermatitis, psoriasis or Eczema is around the eyebrow area.
• You must wait 28 days if sty/eye infections have occurred.
• You must wait 48 hours after sunbeds.
• Please wait 2 weeks after Botox/fillers 
• Tinting treatments can't be performed on pregnant, breastfeeding or women going through IVF, or chemotherapy due to hormone changes and sensitivity.
• Please wait 3 weeks after chemical peel.
• If you get dermaplane please leave a week in between appointments.
• Browsculpt is not recommended for damaged, weak eyebrows.
• If you are on medication for acne, brow waxing or browsculpt may not be suitable. If using strong retinols please refrain from using around brow area 7-10 days before appointment.
